At a young age, Nicole became aware of the importance of mental health due to some of her loved ones struggling with mental health challenges. “My personal experiences motivated me to choose a career path where I can make a meaningful difference. I chose to become an advanced practitioner due to my passion for helping those who struggle with their mental health,” she explains. “Now as a psychiatric nurse practitioner, I am dedicated to providing high quality, compassionate, patient-centered care. For me, it is an honor to be part of each person’s journey toward healing and wellness.”

Nicole enjoys working with children, teens and families to provide prevention, early identification, and treatment of mental health disorders. “Each day, I look forward to providing patient-centered care that improves long-term health outcomes for my patients.”

Nicole’s approach to care begins with establishing a strong therapeutic relationship by fostering a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment. “I recognize that many patients have experienced trauma, discrimination, or stigma, which may make them hesitant to discuss their mental health issues,” she explains. “For this reason, I utilize a holistic approach, considering not just emotional health but also the physical, social and spiritual aspects of a patient’s well-being. Each patient is unique, and their care should be tailored to their individual needs. I believe in empowering my patients to play an active role in their treatment. I love seeing my patients get better and reach their goals. It’s incredibly fulfilling to see them thrive.”

In her spare time Nicole enjoys traveling to Europe or the Caribbean, spending time with her husband and friends, weightlifting, visiting her favorite coffee shops, and watching her two cats Kyro and Kyoto play with each other.
