The Center for Education at Reliant Medical Group accepts students in all stages of their medical careers, including: medical students from all four years, interns, residents, and fellows; as well as physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and nursing students. Currently, there are over 150 experienced providers who participate in precepting students, residents, and fellows. We see a variety of patient populations including pediatrics to geriatrics, and orthopedics to neurological conditions.

The Program

This is a voluntary program that allows providers with an interest in teaching to get involved with medical education. Teaching occurs in a variety of office settings and in many different medical and surgical specialties. Students gain invaluable experience from exposure to our state-of-the-art electronic medical record, Epic. We also have student programs for speech, occupational therapists, and occupational therapist assistant students. Please note that Reliant Medical Group must have an active Affiliation Agreement with your school to consider your application.

Reliant Medical Group Shadowing Guidelines

1. Effective July 1, 2026, all student learners must be at least 18 years of age.
2. It is the student’s responsibility to find a clinician to observe.
3. Once the clinician is confirmed, the student must contact the Center for Education with the clinician’s name. We will provide a set of compliance forms and a list of required immunizations that must be completed before the student can be cleared to shadow the clinician.
4. We will process the required completed forms and send a placement confirmation email to the student and clinician.

Physical Therapy Program

We have clinical instructors (CIs) with specialties in woman’s health, lymphedema, and vestibular disorders. Many of our CIs have well over 10-15 years’ experience. We also have student programs for speech, occupational therapists, and occupational therapist assistant students.

The Center for Education handles our student placements and while we would like to be able to place all students that inquire, our preceptors continue to be in high demand so we cannot guarantee the placement of every student.
