Reliant is inviting adult patients (age 18+) and parents of pediatric patients to apply for membership on our Patient Advisory Council (PAC). The PAC, which has existed for over ten years, gives patients the chance to help Reliant find ways to improve the patient experience. We also look to the PAC for help in creating new programs and consulting on policies and practices that affect the delivery of health care services.
It’s important that our Council membership is as diverse as the patients we care for. “Our patient population is rich with diversity,” observes Linda Coccola, PAC Chair. “We want our PAC membership to represent the care needs of all the people we serve, including patients from varying races, ethnicities, ages, genders, sexual orientations, socioeconomic backgrounds, disabilities and military status.
Involving patients from all age groups and backgrounds is also critical. “The needs of our pediatric patients are very different from those of our middle-aged or senior patients,” says Coccola. “Our hope is to have many demographic groups represented on the PAC so we can be sure to build inclusive services that respond to differing needs.”
Becoming a member of Reliant’s Patient Advisory Council is a great way to help us continually improve our healthcare system. If you would like to represent the voice of the patient at Reliant Medical Group, click here to learn more about the PAC and apply. Membership spots are limited, so don’t delay!
