Dr. Matthew Waugh joined the organization in 2007 after practicing in New York for almost a decade. He credits the excellent team he works with in helping him provide great care for kids. “The pediatrician is a key part of the team in healthcare but it’s really all the nurses and receptionists who make a great office.” Dr. Waugh believes in involving families in the decision process. “Often, there are options such as to treat an ear infection immediately or wait for a day. It’s good to discuss what is best for each person.” It’s easy to get Dr. Waugh talking about his weekend hiking, cycling or snowboarding, and you can see his love of photography on display in his office. When not taking care of children at work he gets great enjoyment from watching his own kids grow up, they get old so fast. “Being able to help children is such a gift. I appreciate being welcomed into my families’ lives and love watching babies grow into adults.”
