Megan attended the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, earning her Master of Physician Assistant Studies. She has been practicing medicine in some form since her days as an undergraduate at Syracuse University. “For me, a profession in healthcare was a natural choice,” she explains. “From volunteer internships at various hospitals to working as a pediatric patient care aide, I had been building my medical experience even before graduate school. Now as a PA, I love that I am able to provide advanced care while also being able to get to know each patient as a person.” A strong proponent of preventative medicine, Megan believes in taking a proactive, rather than reactive approach to her patient’s healthcare. She also believes strongly in the collaborative approach to care that Reliant utilizes. “What I love most about being a PA is that we are truly dedicated to working as part of a team. I think that the patient really benefits from this. They receive more personalized, coordinated care, and clinicians are able to expand their knowledge towards better patient outcomes.” Megan’s specific areas of interest include geriatric health, dermatology, and cardiology. When she isn’t focused on her work, Megan likes to spend time outdoors when it’s warm. She also considers herself a “foodie” and loves trying new restaurants and recipes.
