You may have noticed that your MyChart account looks a little different these days. Recently we introduced an update to MyChart that includes some key design and feature changes, which can be viewed in these video tutorials. We encourage you to learn about what’s new so you can get the most out of MyChart.
Billing for Complex MyChart Messages
While our providers often can provide answers to simple questions or requests via MyChart messaging at no charge, sometimes evaluating the situation and offering recommendations – especially with complex messages – can take our providers a good deal of time. Therefore, please be aware that if you send a complex message or a message that has images attached that is unrelated to a recent office visit, this may be considered an “e-Visit” (electronic visit). This means you and your insurance plan may be charged for your clinical assessment and any treatment recommendations that are offered within one business day. This charge will not exceed $40.00. (A staff member will inform you that your message may result in an e-visit and will ask for your consent before any charge is made.)
Please keep in mind when using MyChart for a message considered an e-Visit, you are authorizing Reliant Medical Group to bill for provided services, and you will be responsible for any self-pay balance if your insurance does not cover the charges. Please check with your insurance company if you have any questions.
Easily Share COVID-19 Information with Just a QR Code
