A graduate of Fitchburg State University and MCPHS University, Lauren has worked in the nursing field since 2010. Lauren has extensive experience working in acute care and urgent care as well with geriatric patients. Lauren became an advanced practitioner because she wanted to elevate her role as a nurse and have the ability to make more of an impact with her patients by working more autonomously.

Although Lauren has worked with all different patient populations during her career, she says she has found working with geriatric patients to be the most rewarding for her. “We have many opportunities to influence their quality of life and in return they teach us so much through their stories of past life experiences – helping us look at things with a different perspective,” she explains.

Lauren takes a holistic approach to caring for her patients. “I like to take into consideration the patient as a whole and how individual physical, mental and social aspects can alter the patient’s overall health and well-being,” she explains. “I really enjoy the ability to make a connection with my patients and strive to gain an understanding of their personal health goals so I can help them achieve their best quality of life. I love to witness the positive outcomes for patients and the ‘a-ha’ moments that being an advanced practitioner can bring.”

When she is not busy with patients Lauren likes to spend time with family and friends. She also enjoys outdoor activities, cooking, and performing do-it-yourself projects at home.
