A graduate of the University of Vermont and the University of Cincinnati, Trista first began her career as a registered nurse in pediatrics and maternity and then later studied to become a certified nurse midwife. Trista enjoys being a CNM because it allows her to work with patients across the continuum and follow-up on their progress. “As an advanced practitioner, I have the opportunity to educate, empower and care for my patients beyond the bedside,” she explains. “I am privileged to assist them through the many changes and challenges of womanhood – from their early teenage years through pregnancy, postpartum, menopause and beyond.” Trista also enjoys educating young woman on family planning and contraception, as well as teaching them about fertility, conception and planning when they are ready to start a family. “Nothing thrills me more than knowing I played a role in helping a family achieve their goals and desires. I believe that pregnancy and birth is the most powerful and transformative time in a woman’s life.”
