Site Marks Reliant’s Second Dedicated Rehabilitation/Sports Medicine Facility, Joining Worcester Ice Center; Will Also House ‘Return-to-Work’ Physical Therapy Services
November 29, 2018 –Reliant Medical Group today announced that it has officially opened a new, freestanding Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine office at 50 Gold Star Boulevard, marking the latest in a series of new site openings by the Worcester-based healthcare system. Reliant’s other dedicated rehab/sports medicine facility opened at the Worcester Ice Center in January 2018.
“The opening of this office means we now have two state-of-the-art facilities for our rehabilitation and sports medicine patients to choose from,” said Tarek Elsawy, M.D., Reliant’s president and CEO. “Our providers and staff are excited to be in this new space, and we’re confident our patients will love everything the site has to offer.”
The 14,000-square-foot building, which formerly housed the Habitat for Humanity Re-Store and other related offices, will provide patients with access to services such as physical, speech and occupational therapy for adults and children; fall prevention programs; pre-employment and post-offer physical assessments; and much more. Among the features included in the new space to help patients with their therapy are a rock climbing wall; a variety of exercise equipment; orthopedic and neurology gyms; fine, sensory and gross motor gyms; and an infant feeding room.
