A graduate of the University of South Florida and Rivier University, Mariah started her career in a hospital ICU working as a registered nurse which helped give her a strong foundation in patient care.

Mariah decided to become an advanced practitioner because she saw that many patients lacked a clear understanding of their healthcare conditions. “Through conversations with patients and their families, I realized that they needed more than just diagnosis and treatment – they needed a provider who could take the time to explain their health conditions, address their concerns, and help close gaps in their care,” she explains. “This inspired me to become a nurse practitioner so I could offer a more holistic approach to patient care, including focusing on patient education and empowerment.”

In her work at Reliant, Mariah appreciates the opportunity to not only treat acute issues but also help prevent chronic disease. “I believe in treating not just the illness, but the individual – recognizing that each patient is unique and has their own experiences, values and health goals,” she explains. “By fostering open communication and a strong provider-patient relationship, I aim to ensure that care is not only effective but also aligned with the patient’s personal values and preferences. I particularly enjoy following patients over time and witnessing their growth, both in terms of health improvements and their life as a whole.”

In her spare time Mariah enjoys having a coffee at a cafe, taking in a good book, and being outdoors. She also enjoys local beaches, hiking, skiing, and hunting for “treasures” in the woods with her husband and children.
