Some patients have reported receiving fraudulent phishing emails claiming “Your MyChart Medicare Kit Awaits.” These emails are NOT from our practice or MyChart and are known scams.
Phishing emails use subject lines that are designed to trick recipients into clicking malicious links or sharing personal information.
If you receive an email like this or something similar, please do not reply or forward – just delete the email immediately. Do not click on any links (including unsubscribe), provide any personal or financial information, or take any requested actions noted in any suspicious emails.
As a reminder, legitimate email addresses from Reliant Medical Group are DoNotReplyRMG@ReliantMedicalGroup.org or donotreply@reliantmedicalgroup.org.
Here are a few general ways to help protect yourself from phishing scams:
- Confirm the sender’s email address before interacting with a message.
- Be cautious of offers promoting free stuff such as kits, rewards, coupons, gift cards, or prizes.
- Pay attention to spelling and grammar mistakes that may signal a fraudulent email.
- Avoid sharing confidential or personal information by email.
- Be skeptical of messages designed to create urgency or pressure immediate action.
- Do not open attachments from unsolicited or unfamiliar emails.
