Need Support?
If you are a breastfeeding mother who needs support, we have resources available for you. Many of our pediatric nurse practitioners and pediatric nurses are trained to help breastfeeding moms and provide nursing support. If you are a breastfeeding mother interested in a consultation with a lactation counselor, ask your infant’s primary care provider at Reliant and a referral will be made for you.
About Kristen Newsom, MD
Dr. Kristen Newsom comes from a long line of people dedicated to practicing medicine. “My father and grandfather had a family medicine practice together, so growing up, medicine was a huge part of my life,” she explains. “I got to see what it means to be somebody’s primary care physician and that was very important when it came time for me to decide on a career.”
