Our Gender Questions are Designed to Help Care for You Better

You’ve probably noticed that when you call or visit a Reliant office, we ask you a lot of questions. Starting soon, we are going to be asking you some questions about your legal sex and gender identity.

While you can decline answering these questions, we’d like to give you an explanation about why this information can be helpful. Providing information like your legal sex and gender identity helps us care for you better. Caregivers understand that the conditions in which patients are born, grow up, live, work and grow old have a profound impact on their health and well-being. That’s why we capture important information like your age, race, gender identity and more. We appreciate your help and understanding in this matter!
