Once the diagnosis is confirmed, there are a number of options to consider for next steps. Our experienced and caring staff will go over each option with you to discuss and recommend the appropriate course of action. These options include further evaluation, procedures to check for ovulation, assessment of the uterus and fallopian tubes, and sperm analysis. We also diagnose and manage patients with endocrine disorders and menstrual irregularities, in particular those patients with polycystic ovary syndrome, a major cause of infertility in women. All of this care is provided with the highest regard for your confidentiality, safety and comfort.
As part of our fertility program, each patient undergoes a series of steps during the evaluation and treatment process. In many cases, only medication is needed to correct problems and allow a patient to become pregnant. However, some patients will need more advanced procedures such as intrauterine insemination to achieve pregnancy. For patients who suffer from such conditions as blocked fallopian tubes, severe endometriosis, polycystic ovary syndrome or severe male factors, a procedure known as in vitro fertilization (IVF) may be required to help them realize their goal of having a family. Once an evaluation is complete, we will determine the best treatment options to help you become pregnant.
