A non-surgical approach to treatment of the musculoskeletal system.

The Division of Physiatry at Reliant Medical Group is dedicated to offering a non-surgical approach to treatment of injuries and other problems of the musculoskeletal system. Treating acute and chronic pain and musculoskeletal disorders, we seek to enhance and restore functional ability and quality of life to those with physical impairments or disabilities.

Our staff commonly treat patients with tendonitis, arthritis, back pain, sports-related injuries, and other disorders of the musculoskeletal system. We strive to alleviate pain and optimize function through the combined use of medications, physical training, therapeutic exercise, movement and activities modification, and other non-invasive treatment options.

Common diseases and conditions treated:

  • Back and neck pain
  • Muscle and ligament injuries
  • Pain in the joints
  • Acute and chronic pain
  • Sports-related injuries
  • Myofascial pain
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Rheumatoid arthritis

Methods of treatment include specialized injections to alleviate pain and inflammation (including epidural injections and facet joint block injections). Other specialized treatments available at the Division of Physiatry include Botox® injections for pain relief, fluoroscopic guidance for injections and Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy. Patients who have previously had surgery, but are experiencing pain issues, often find relief through Physiatry.

The Division of Physiatry believes in treating the whole patient, not just the specific injury or condition that is present. The goal is always to relieve pain, optimize function, and improve quality of life as much as possible.
