Physiatry

A non-surgical approach to treatment of the musculoskeletal system.

Reliant Medical Group physiatrists treat injuries and other problems of the musculoskeletal system without surgery. We care for both short and long term pain and disorders. Our goal is to improve normal functions and quality of life for those with physical impairments or disabilities.

Our staff care for patients with tendonitis, arthritis, back pain, sports-related injuries, and other musculoskeletal disorders. We want to reduce pain and improve function with the combined use of medications, physical training, therapeutic exercise, movement and activities modification, and other non-invasive treatment options.

Common diseases and conditions treated:

  • Back and neck pain
  • Muscle and ligament injuries
  • Pain in the joints
  • Acute and chronic pain
  • Sports injuries
  • Myofascial pain
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Rheumatoid arthritis

Specialized injections are used to ease pain and swelling. Some of these include:

  • Epidulars
  • Facet joint blocks
  • Botox® injections for pain relief
  • Fluoroscopic guidance for injections
  • Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy.

Physiatry also helps ease the pain of patients who have had surgery in the past.

At Reliant Medical Group, we believe in treating the whole patient, not just the specific injury or condition. Our goal is to soothe pain, optimize function, and improve quality of life as much as possible.
