A graduate of Worcester State College, Jennifer has always wanted to work in the medical field and make a positive impact on the lives of others. “As an occupational therapist, I enjoy the extra time I have with my patients which helps me get to know them as individuals and what is important to them,” she explains. “To me, there is nothing in the world as gratifying as the look on a patient’s face as they reach their personal rehabilitation goal.”
Jennifer believes that the more her patients know their problem the better they can solve it. “Education to me is very important,” she explains. “The more a patient understands their disability or injury, the better chance they will follow through on the activities that help them get better. This approach also helps them continue to get better after therapy is completed.”
Jennifer has extensive experience as a pediatric therapist working with children with moderate to severe disabilities including ASD, mood disorders, regressive neurological disorders and sensory integration dysfunction, as well as learning disabilities. Her special interests include orthopedics, geriatrics, sensory integration and mentation health. In her spare time Jennifer enjoys watching movies, crafting, as well as family game nights and puzzles.
