Lisa Gaimari has worked in many different areas of medicine including women’s health, primary care and behavioral health. She started her career as a registered nurse before going back to school to become a nurse practitioner.

While an undergraduate student, Lisa interacted with a nurse practitioner in the Health Services office, who piqued her interest in becoming a nurse practitioner. “I was fascinated with her ability to listen to my concerns, assess them and then take care of my needs. That helped me make the decision to become an advanced practitioner,” she explains. “I have enjoyed helping people care for all their health needs. By using my knowledge and expertise, I can guide patients towards a healthier lifestyle and help them enjoy their everyday lives more.”

Lisa now works in Pre-Admission Testing at Reliant. “I chose my current area of expertise because I want to maximize a patient’s health prior to having surgery so that they have the best recovery possible,” she explains. “I enjoy interacting with my patients and doing my utmost to assist with any needs that they may have. I always strive to have a kind, caring manner to help put them at ease.”

When she is not busy with patients Lisa enjoys gardening, finding new restaurants, going to the beach, and spending time with her family. She also enjoys long walks for exercise.
