“I treat my patients as I would treat my own children… I see them as an extension of my own family.”
Dr. LouAnn Maffei has been a practicing physician at the organization for over 30 years, often calling it her second home. LouAnn grew up loving science and she always knew that she wanted to be a doctor. Her affinity for newborns, children, and adolescents drew her to pediatrics. LouAnn is a general practice pediatrician who treats all common childhood illnesses. “I treat my patients as I would treat my own children… I see them as an extension of my own family,” she says. She also finds community service to be very important, so in her spare time she is a squadron commander for Goddard Cadet Squadron, Civil Air Patrol, as well as serving the U.S. Army Reserve troops on a volunteer basis.
