Treatments are available for COVID-19
If you test positive and are at a higher risk to get very sick from COVID-19, highly-effective and easy to use treatments are available. People who are more likely to get severe illness include people over age 50 and those with certain medical conditions. Medications to treat COVID-19, like Paxlovid, an anti-viral pill taken by mouth, must be prescribed by a healthcare provider and started within five days after the onset of symptoms to be effective.
If you test positive and have concerning symptoms or are at high risk of developing severe illness, you should contact your primary care provider’s (PCP) office or schedule a visit with Virtual ReadyMED through MyChart right away to see which treatment option is available to you.
