Dialectical Behavior Therapy Can Help You Lead a More Fulfilling Life

Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) is a program that supports and treats people who struggle with a variety of mental health diagnoses and behaviors including:

  • DBT saved my lifeBorderline Personality Disorder (BPD)
  • Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
  • Suicidal behaviors and thoughts
  • Self-harm
  • Eating disorders
  • Mood and anxiety disorders

DBT is recognized as the most effective treatment for suicidal thinking/behavior and self-harm behavior. DBT is ideal for individuals who have tried various treatments in the past and not experienced long term success.

Our intensive DBT program helps patients build skills to cope with intense surges of emotion and impulsive behaviors that interfere with one’s life.

There are four parts of the treatment program: Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation, and Interpersonal Effectiveness.

All treatment is structured to stay focused on patient goals. When combined with other interventions including individual therapy, many patients see progress sooner than expected.
