“I focus on preventative medicine and enjoy helping patients with their immediate needs as well as long-term goals.”
Dr. Ravi Menon is a former Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Army where he most recently practiced at Hanscom Air Force Base Health Clinic. “I had the opportunity to treat a broad spectrum of cases as an internist. I took care of soldiers, retirees, soldier’s families, as well as many others in both outpatient clinics and military operational settings; it was a great experience and an honor to serve. Practicing in the military is unique in some ways, but also very similar to a typical primary care practice.”
While he was in the military, Dr. Menon had a lot of different roles. “I was a research physician as well as a practicing internist,” he explains. “I like to incorporate elements of my research in nutrition, health, and performance when I care for patients. I focus on preventative medicine and enjoy helping patients with their immediate needs as well as long-term goals.”
As a primary care physician, Dr. Menon has assisted a lot of patients suffering from diverse medical issues and believes in strong communication with a shared purpose. “Every patient can be different in how they view or approach a problem,” he explains. “I look forward to building relationships with patients and medical teams to facilitate common goals which help improve overall health.”
One of the many things Dr. Menon loves about Reliant is the team-based approach to care. “When someone has a health problem that needs to be resolved, I can tap into a wide range of resources from specialty care to diagnostic care and rehabilitation programs to make sure a patient gets everything they need. It really makes a difference having so much expertise available.”
In his spare time Dr. Menon loves to stay active and spend time with his family. Some of the activities he enjoys include playing tennis, soccer, kayaking, and photography.

I asked the doctor if I could stop a certain medication, and after my blood work, he agreed and I agreed to give me a 6 month period to lose some weight to see if my numbers would be better. I wanted to try intermittent fasting, and he was very supportive of the idea.
