Physician Assistant Shawn Eck is a graduate of the University of Connecticut and the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. With a strong interest in biology, medicine and research, becoming a Physician Assistant was an easy choice for Shawn. “I enjoy working as a physician assistant in Dermatology because you get to see the results of treating patients, which I find very gratifying,” he explains. Shawn lives by the philosophy of treating others as he would like to be treated. “If I provide everyone with the same level of care that I would expect, I feel I can’t go wrong.” During his free time, Shawn enjoys long-distance running and other outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing and camping. He also likes to dabble in theoretical physics, a hobby of his.

Provider had very poor bedside manner and showed very little interest and concern in my concerns. I felt the visit was extremely rushed. After the small procedure was performed in the room the provider asked if I was all set as he was rushing out of the room. I said I guess so and mentioned about how the appointment was short. The provider said they only give him 10 minutes. I felt my questions were bothersome to the provider and he really showed little interest about my concerns. This is not the first time I've had this experience with this provider but it was certainly the worst. I will be switching providers.

This was the second time that I had seen Shawn Eck for dermatology problems. He assessed the problem and gave me recommendations to treat the problem that are working well
