“No matter what problem I am treating, I strive to relieve any fears or concerns about treatment and help my patients live healthier lives.”

After graduating from Wellesley College, Dr. Armineh Mirzabegian attended the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City and completed her Internal Medicine residency at New England Deaconess Hospital in Boston.

Dr. Mirzabegian chose to practice internal medicine for its emphasis on caring for the whole patient, allowing her to see beyond individual conditions.
“I enjoy seeing my patients regularly and being able to seamlessly provide the continuity of care they need,” she explains. At Reliant, Dr. Mirzabegian helps patients with a wide range of problems from acute to chronic medical conditions. I strive to ease any fears or concerns about treatment and help my patients live healthier lives.”

In addition to her practice at Reliant in Southborough, Dr. Mirzabegian holds a faculty position as Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at UMass Chan Medical School. She is deeply committed to the education and mentorship of the next generation of physicians. “I find great fulfillment in teaching, and I really value the opportunity to support medical students as they grow into thoughtful, compassionate doctors,” she explains.

Dr. Mirzabegian also has an interest in the integration of the arts and humanities into medicine and medical education. She is particularly drawn to the ways these disciplines can foster empathy, encourage reflection, and promote a more holistic and humanistic approach to patient care.

Dr. Mirzabegian is also involved in volunteering with local cultural and medical organizations, including global health missions. Her most recent trip was to Armenia for a program that focused on hypertension management in rural areas of the country. In her spare time, she enjoys playing the piano and visiting art museums.
