Jackie started her career as a registered nurse before becoming an advanced practitioner. She enjoys the autonomy she has now as well as the ability to learn and perform procedures. “I love the ability to diagnose and treat patients,” she explains. “One of my favorite things is treating patients across the lifespan and caring for multi-generational families.”

Jackie believes in working closely with her patients and creating a partnership by educating them on their health issues and getting their agreement on treatment decisions. Some of the most common problems she treats at Reliant are hypertension, diabetes, depression, and anxiety. In addition, Jackie is a very “hands on” caregiver and enjoys doing procedures in the office such as incision and drainage, cortisone injections, IUD and Nexplanon placement, and toenail avulsions.

Jackie says that the most rewarding experiences for her with a patient are when she has helped someone through a difficult time, whether it be dealing with a chronic illness or a mental health issue. “Patients are so grateful when you help them. I really feel like I am making a difference,” she explains. “I also love caring for newborns and educating new parents. That’s one of the favorite parts of my practice.”

One of the things that Jackie likes the most about working at Reliant Medical Group is how all the caregivers collaborate and consult with each other. “All of us help each other out when needed, from the nurses and medical assistants to the PSSs and the doctors. We all work together as a team to help our patients.”

When she is not busy at Reliant Medical Group, Jackie enjoys watching her kids play sports or sitting down with a good book. She also loves catching her favorite TV show and enjoying the beach with family and friends.
