Every year at Reliant there are exciting new advancements that other doctors can only dream of.”
Dr. James Howe has been a practicing internist for over three decades. Moving from New Jersey to Boston for his residency training, when most of his contemporaries decided to become specialists, Dr. Howe knew he wanted to practice primary care. After residency, he spent his first year working in a solo practice, something that rarely exists nowadays.
As an experienced physician, Dr. Howe says that he has enjoyed how medicine has evolved over the years. “Every year at Reliant there are exciting advancements that other doctors can only dream of,” he explains. “Medicine is always changing. For instance, we have now folded behavioral medicine into our practice, we have same-day urgent care centers, remote video visits, and special services for the elderly and homebound.”
Dr. Howe truly enjoys being part of Reliant Medical Group and recognizes all the advantages it brings his patients. “One of the great things about Reliant for me is that I can really concentrate on providing care and not worry about doing administrative tasks. I think there are a lot of advantages to being a part of a large organization like Reliant. Never have I been able to work this closely with such a superb group of specialists. They teach me something new every day that I never used to get from letters or phone calls.”
Dr. Howe truly appreciates the people he works with at Reliant. “A doctor can’t do it alone. You have to have a great staff too. I’m lucky to have some of the most upbeat, cheerful, and helpful people that I have ever worked with. I am really proud of the care my team provides.”
When he is not busy seeing patients Dr. Howe enjoys being with his family, exercising, and watching sudoku videos.
