"I feel as a parent myself that the doctor’s office should be a safe and judgement-free zone to express concerns and to tackle problems."
A graduate of Connecticut College and Simmons College, Kia started her career as a nurse in 2004. “I have nurses in my family and have been very lucky to work with extremely dedicated and talented nurse practitioners during my career,” she explains. “When the opportunity presented itself to expand my knowledge as a nurse practitioner to provide more comprehensive care, I decided to jump right in.”
For Kia, there is no more fascinating specialty than pediatrics. “Pediatrics is very diverse, you really have three separate life cycles under your care. Most importantly for me, working in pediatrics is unbelievable fun.” Kia has a special interest in atopic disorders and developmental disabilities.
Kia believes in treating her patients in the spirit of partnership. “Having a child is an incredibly scary process,” she explains. “I feel as a parent myself that the doctor’s office should be a safe and judgement-free zone to express concerns and to tackle problems. I really enjoy caring for beautiful, strong families who trust me to care for their children.” In her spare time Kia enjoys treasure hunting with her kids at local flea markets. She lives in Westborough with her husband, two children and two very well-fed cats.
