Lisa was inspired to begin a career in medicine by her mother, who is a registered nurse. After shadowing a physician assistant in high school she decided it would be a great choice for her. “My mother is a RN and I had thought of following in her shoes but she encouraged me to consider being a PA because she thought it would be a better fit for me,” she explains. “I’m glad I made that choice.”
Lisa has always been fascinated by the heart and everything that goes along with caring for it and keeping it working properly. Lisa has extensive experience working in electrophysiology for cardiology patients, which is the management of the heart’s electrical system. “I enjoy using my knowledge in electrophysiology to interpret information from defibrillators and pacemakers,” she explains. “We work as a team here in Cardiology and I realize I am one piece of the puzzle in caring for patients and that the patient is the biggest part of the puzzle.”
Lisa enjoys caring for patients with heart issues and helping them be the healthiest that they can be. She enjoys the fact that at Reliant everyone strives to take exceptional care of their patients. “I love the fact that I can see a patient come in with a weak heart and get treated and not just be clinically better but also feel healthier and enjoy life more.”
In her spare time Lisa enjoys hiking, gardening and photography.

She was very friendly, empathetic and engaged during my visit. She listened to my questions and provided follow up options to me. There should be an excellent category for her.

Only issue was to tell me if I wanted to stop they had all the information they needed, that I could stop. Because I was late I did stop but it came back as a comment by the cardiologist. If I had known that I would have kept going.
