Has Social Media Taken Over Your Life?

Savanna first began her career in healthcare as a nurse. She has always had a passion for medicine and enjoys the challenge of working with patients each day. “I chose to become an advanced practitioner because it allowed me to pursue my passion while also maintaining my philosophy as a nurse – providing care to the whole person and not just the disease.”
Savanna enjoys being able to practice in Family Medicine. “I wanted to become a family nurse practitioner because I see great value in the ability to care for a person, and their family, across the lifespan,” she explains. “I enjoy developing long-lasting relationships with my patients, and caring for everyone from newborns to the elderly. It’s wonderful to be able to follow patients as they move through different phases of life. This allows me to better understand them as a person and provide more holistic care.”
When seeing patients, Savanna believes that she can provide better care when she listens carefully and allows her patients to guide the visit and tell her what is important to them. “I work closely with everyone I treat to develop a plan that satisfies both their concerns as the patient and my concerns as the healthcare provider. My goal as an advanced practitioner is to serve as a guide for my patients and help them to coordinate and organize their medical care.”
In her spare time Savanna enjoys exercising, reading a good book, and spending time outdoors.
Star ratings are based on patient responses to 5 questions about the care they have received from their provider. Responses are measured on a scale of 1-5 and the average score is displayed in an easy to view, 5-star format. Learn more about how we measure our patient experience.
Comments marked with an asterisk * serve as a flag to indicate when a patient has left feedback that specifically references a provider's name.
This patient rated the doctor 2.5 out of 5 stars.
Savanna curled herself up on her chair like a child and gave off a vibe of indifference. The answer to my first question was she didn't know, call Dr. Anand. The answer to the second question was a Thyroid function test. This was a good thought but it had already been done fairly recently and showed no problems. I forgot I had the test, so I was no help. My third question was about the sleep apnea device that is being advertised. She said she had not read the literature but several patients had asked her about it. She made a note that I would like more info.
