The Office of Education at Reliant Medical Group accepts students in all stages of their medical careers, including: medical students from all four years, interns, residents, and fellows; as well as physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and nursing students. Currently, there are over 120 experienced providers who participate in precepting students, residents, and fellows. We see a variety of patient populations including pediatrics to geriatrics, orthopedics and neurological conditions. We have clinical instructors (CIs) with specialties in woman’s health, lymphedema, and vestibular disorders. Many of our CIs have well over 10-15 years’ experience.
This is a voluntary program that allows providers with an interest in teaching to get involved with medical education. Teaching occurs in a variety of office settings and in many different medical and surgical specialties. Students gain invaluable experience from exposure to our state-of-the-art electronic medical record, Epic. We also have student programs for speech, occupational therapists, and occupational therapist assistant students.
Our student program encompasses both students who are in a PT program already, as well as students who are applying to get into PT school and require observation hours. We have affiliations with Northeastern, AIC (America International College), Boston University, UMass Lowell, MCPHS (Mass College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences), Springfield College, and Simmons College.
Before you apply, make sure to take a look at our placement requirements. If you are interested in applying to our teaching program, please contact the Office of Education at CTVS@reliantmedicalgroup.org.
The Office of Education handles our student placement and while we would like to be able to place all students that inquire, due to heavy demand we cannot guarantee the placement of any student. Thank you for your interest in learning at Reliant! We hope to hear from you soon.
