Join the All of Us Research Program and Help Advance the Future of Healthcare.

Oct 29, 2018 / Research

The All of Us research program, part of the Precision Medicine Initiative through the National Institutes of Health (NIH), is an ambitious effort to securely gather health information and DNA samples from over one million people living in the United States. Researchers can use this data to conduct thousands of studies to find better ways to predict, prevent and treat diseases.

Precision Medicine is healthcare that is specifically targeted to an individual – using information such as genetics, family history, and overall lifestyle. It is hoped that as researchers learn more about the population they study, they will be able to keep people healthier and find treatments that are more effective.

Reliant Medical Group is a proud partner in the All of Us research program and is the only enrollment site in the Central/MetroWest Massachusetts region. Beginning this month, the Reliant Research Department is able to enroll individuals 18 years and older, regardless of their health status, into this innovative research program. People of every race, ethnicity, and gender are invited to join.

There is no fee for taking part in the All of Us research program. Those who join will be asked to give blood and urine samples, have physical measurements taken, and fill out health surveys. (All your personal information, such as name and address and other data that can easily identify you will be removed from the information that researchers study.)

The All of Us research program is expected to last for at least a decade. However, you can stop participating at any time if you desire. Every participant will receive their personal health results and those who complete full enrollment receive a $25 gift card for their efforts.

If you’re interested in learning more, including how to sign up, FAQs, and what the process entails, visit ReliantMedicalGroup.org/AllofUs or email AllofUs@reliantmedicalgroup.org.

Ultimately, it is hoped that the All of Us research program will speed up medical breakthroughs and create life-saving treatments for us, our children, and generations to come, that do not exist today.
