Medical Minute: Enterovirus D68- What Parents Need to Know

You’ve probably been hearing a lot about Enterovirus D68, a respiratory virus affecting children, in the news recently.  An unusually high amount of cases have been reported throughout the country and a handful of suspected cases have been reported in Massachusetts in the last day or so.  Pediatrician Dr. Joanne Samant took a few minutes to sit down and share with us exactly what this virus is, symptoms parents should watch for and how it’s treated.  Please contact your child’s pediatrician if you have any questions.
