Have You Gotten Your Flu Shot?

Whether you are young, old, or somewhere in between, getting an annual flu shot is important. The flu can spread quickly and in some cases can lead to serious life-threatening complications requiring hospitalization. Although flu season typically starts in October, it can often last well into May.

Receiving a flu shot does more than just protect you, it also helps protect those around you. Vaccination is especially important for protecting those at high risk for serious flu complications, including young children, pregnant women, adults 65 years and older, and anyone with chronic health conditions like asthma, diabetes, and heart disease.

Even though Reliant Medical Group has completed its walk-in flu clinics for this year, there is still time to contact your doctor’s office to schedule a flu shot. Schedule yours today!
